For over 27 years, Operation USA has supported women and their children who shoulder the burdens of poverty, natural disaster and war. Since the Tsunami in 2004, Operation USA has been aiding Sri Lankan women to rebuild their devastated communities. Now, in light of renewed political violence in their home country, Sri Lankan women across the United States have begun to mobilize and advocate for women and children everywhere. When Typhoon Durian hit the Philippines on November 30, 2006, Operation USA immediately identified Australian Aid International as an on-site partner and through them delivered vital emergency medical supplies to mobile clinics offering life saving health care to hundreds of people affected by this disaster. Despite Ongoing Humanitarian Crisis in Sri Lanka,VISIONS Continues to Affect the Lives of Disadvantaged Youth

In the face of tsunami destruction and ongoing civil conflict, Sri Lanka based organizations are working hard to make a difference in the lives of the youth affected by such devastation. One such organization is VISIONS, a group that Operation USA is sponsoring to empower and educate disadvantaged Sri Lankan youth. Through leadership camps and scholarship programs as well as the projected construction of a Learning Center, VISIONS is working tirelessly to provide Sri Lankans with a chance to better their own community.
