An Update from the Operation USA Warehouse

August 6, 2013 — At Operation USA, much of our work is made possible by the generosity of our corporate partners. As a result of significant in-kind donations and sponsorships, we are able to deliver much-needed supplies to communities in need around the world. In recent months, domestic and international shipments delivered relief for tornado victims, humanitarian organizations, health and medical groups and more both here in the United States and in foreign nations. Here’s a brief overview of what left our warehouse recently:

 

HAITI
Miscellaneous medical supplies were shipped to Giving Children Hope in Haiti.

 

RWANDA
Hospital supplies including exam tables, gurneys, anesthesia machines and an ultrasound machine were shipped to Gisenyi Hospital in Rwanda.

 

KENYA
Medical and office equipment, such as exam tables, chairs, microscopes and an anesthesia machine were shipped to Coptic Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya. This hospital hosts visiting medical teams from Kaiser-Permanente in California.

 

UNITED STATES
Portable generators were shipped to Mary Mahoney Memorial Health Center in Spencer, OK and Central Oklahoma Family Medical in Konawa, OK as part of our tornado relief efforts.

 

Disease management kits, safety breathing kits and portable generators were shipped to our partners at Team Rubicon, Inc. for distribution in tornado-affected areas of Oklahoma.

 

Medical and dental clinics in Southern California continue to receive supplies as they become available from our warehouse.

 

The Salvadorean community of Southern California received various adult and children’s clothing items on behalf of the El Salvador Foundation.
