In-Kind Donations & Shipments:

Operation USA makes life-saving supplies available throughout the world to those who cannot afford them. We are expert in facilitating material donations from pharmaceutical, medical supply, nutrition and shelter supply companies to people in need – whether it be truckloads of blankets to Native American communities in South Dakota; disbursing 900,000 doses of Vitamin A, that prevents childhood nutritional related blindness, to Malawi, Nicaragua and eight other countries; or neonatal incubators and breast cancer medications to hospitals in Morocco.

In 27 years, Operation USA has shipped, by air and sea, high-priority medical, nutritional and shelter supplies, totaling over $250 million in value.

We are a strong advocate of appropriate and equitable distribution of donated goods, which has resulted in the agency being one of a small number asked by corporations to be "ambassadors" of their products at disaster sites and in developing nations.

Operation USA's main shipping center is a 25,000 sq.ft. warehouse in the Port of Los Angeles, with an auxiliary warehouse in the Port of San Francisco. From these sites, over one hundred shipments a year are sent to international programs that support disaster responses and refugees, and make up the backbone of long-term health facility support projects in Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean. Local programs assist non-profit health clinics and natural disaster sites.

from Charity Navigator differentiates
