OBJECTIVE:
To give adult members of the community opportunity to learn job-related skills.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
17 adults from Santa Rosa receive funding for adult education classes at an Ocotal Community Center. They participate in computer, accounting and administration classes that will give them the skills they need to start small businesses or explore other opportunities.

PARTNERS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Community: Adults take advantage of the classes offered.
Operation USA: Funding for these classes

RISKS:
Foreseen: Lack of funds for all eligible adults to take classes.
Unforeseen: Incurred additional expenses for photocopying and supplies; paid for by the communal yucca garden.

RESULTS:
Planned: Higher level of education and more opportunity for adult community members.
Unplanned: none
