Corporate Partners Power Our Projects

Since 1979, Operation USA (then called Operation California) has relied on the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporate partners to fund our programs. Without the support of our valuable partners, much of our relief, recovery and resiliency-building projects would not be possible.

Today, we work closely with corporate partners in a variety of ways. Whether you manufacture or distribute relief-appropriate supplies that can be donated in bulk, you’re looking for ways to energize your employees around meaningful causes that impact the communities where they live and work, or you have a philanthropy budget you’d like to invest in an effective and impactful way–OpUSA is ready to help.

Donate Material Aid
In communities affected by disaster, poverty and lack of access to vital resources–sometimes it’s the most basic supplies that mean the most. OpUSA maintains a 25,000 sq ft warehouse in the Port of LA where we stage and ship material aid to communities in need all over the world. We are always seeking bulk donations of new, unused disaster-appropriate materials such as disposable medical supplies, cleaning products and equipment, food and water, clothing, power generators, baby products, hygiene supplies, hand tools and more. See our full wish list here.

Empower Your Employees
OpUSA works closely with corporate partners throughout the year to launch employee giving campaigns that generate much-needed funding for our projects and programs. Through our third-party donation processor, we offer several templated options that allow us to quickly generate a custom-branded crowdfunding or donation page for your organization, including corporate match and social share tools. If you’re looking to energize your employees around a cause that is important to your organization, we’d be grateful for your partnership.

Provide Emergency Funding to Community-Based Organizations
When disaster strikes, service providers and community organizations in impacted areas often face a simultaneous increase in needs and decrease in resources. Emergency grants (typically in the $10,000 range) help these organizations get back on their feet quickly and efficiently, enabling them to help their community’s hardest hit and most vulnerable residents when they need it most. If your company has a budget for philanthropy, our expertise will help you achieve maximum impact for your investment.

Fund a Long-Term Recovery Project
Though the spotlight on disaster-stricken communities fades in the weeks and months after the disaster, recovery often takes years–especially in areas that are prone to recurring disasters and/or that were already vulnerable before disaster struck. In these communities, OpUSA maintains a presence long after other aid groups leave, working closely with on-the-ground partners to assess damage, establish priorities in recovery and provide the most impactful type of aid in the years following a disaster. We can’t do this work without the support of corporate partners. If you’re interested in rebuilding a school or clinic, launching a new program or service, or providing ongoing support to a community-based organization–whatever your vision, we can help you bring it to life.

Sponsor A Shipment
Often, due to gaps in funding, the actual shipping process is the greatest challenge in providing much-needed relief to disaster-stricken communities. From getting medical equipment to a hospital in Cambodia to delivering personal protective gear to health workers in West Africa to providing water purification to remote areas affected by natural disasters–your sponsorship of an OpUSA shipment ensures that donated items get to communities in dire need quickly.
