Los Angeles NGO Seeks Donations for Flood Relief to Community Partners on Pine Ridge and Rosebud Reservations

WHO: Operation USA

WHAT: Seeking cash and in-kind donations to aid Native American residents of the Pine Ridge and Rosebud Reservations in South Dakota.

WHY: Recent flooding in the midwestern U.S. has exacerbated challenges for Native Americans. Many have been stranded in their homes, and recent floods were a devastating blow to a people already facing daily struggles. OpUSA has worked on the Pine Ridge Reservation since 2005 with programs and funding aimed at combating daily challenges and improving lives for youths and families. With existing community partnerships in place, we are in a unique position to help quickly and effectively. Donations at this time will allow OpUSA to deploy supplemental financial support to those hardest-hit by recent flooding—helping to replace belongings, repair homes and vehicles, and ensure access to daily necessities including clean drinking water, food, medicines and hygiene supplies.

WHEN: ASAP and ongoing

WHERE: Material aid (new items, in bulk) can be received at our warehouse in Port of Los Angeles or drop shipped directly to partners on the ground. Contact OpUSA for donation approval and to coordinate logistics. Monetary gifts can be made online at give.opusa.org or by check to:
