Late on Friday, September 8, a powerful magnitude 6.8 earthquake–centered in the mountains 50 miles outside Marrakesh–shook western Morocco, killing thousands. As search and rescue efforts continue, the death toll has surpassed 2,900, with many more injured, missing or displaced.Operation USA is monitoring the situation and assessing opportunities to provide aid.
