Remembering Ed Asner

August 29, 2021–OpUSA staff are deeply saddened by the loss of Ed Asner, storied actor and respected humanitarian.

OpUSA had the pleasure of working with Mr. Asner on many occasions–he both hosted fundraising events and traveled to Cambodia alongside Richard Walden to visit orphanages in the country after the fall of the Khmer Rouge. We are so grateful for Mr. Asner’s support through the years and we mourn his death as a big loss for the humanitarian aid community.

He will be deeply missed.
