Super Typhoon Goni Response

October 31, 2020–Our thoughts are with all our friends and partners in the Philippines this weekend as Typhoon Goni–anticipated to be 2020’s worst storm yet–approaches the country. OpUSA has deep ties in the Philippines, and we’ve remained committed to Guiuan, which Typhoon Haiyan devastated in 2013, for many years. We are hopeful that Typhoon Goni won’t have as big an impact as is anticipated, but in the meantime, we encourage everyone in the storm’s path to heed warnings from local officials and take every precaution to ensure your safety.

We will continue to monitor the storm and will prepare to deliver aid in its aftermath. As funds allow, we will make cash grants to community-based organizations, deliver material aid, and support long-term recovery projects. Your donations make this relief work possible.
